Osteopathy for new Mums
My treatment can help the new mother’s body to return to normal by releasing strains from the pregnancy and labour. It enables her to relax and thus enjoy her new member of the family.
Cranial Osteopathy for Babies
I am trained to diagnose and release strains and tensions in even the youngest of babies. I consider the birth from the baby’s point of view. Any delivery whether prolonged, rapid or caesarean may squash, pull or twist the baby in different ways, leading to discomfort resulting in an unsettled baby with feeding, sleeping and digestive difficulties. When assessing a newborn baby I will look for asymmetry in the head and face, the pelvis, and the spine. Sometimes I find that tension in the neck is inhibiting normal head and neck movement resulting in the baby preferring to feed from one side. Using very gentle, specific techniques I relieve these strains and help baby to settle.I treat babies for a variety of symptoms so please feel free to call 07968 863171 to discuss whether I can help.
